Monastier Shiraz 2018

This is modern, fruity and full-bodied in style—it has a nose brimming with ripe plum and damson fruits that leads to a vibrant, rich palate. This wine is delicious with magret de canard, any kind of red meat dish, or with cheese.

This wine is made by leading international winemaker, Xavier Roger, who is based in Carassone in the South of France. Xavier specialises in making modern ‘international’ styles of wine in France—wines that can be enjoyed with or without food. It is the limiting gravel soil and the naturally low yielding which are the perfect conditions of the Languedoc-Roussillon region for producing rich, concentrated, ripe grapes.
