Wine information
60% Red Grenache, 30% Carignane, 10% Syrah.
Vineyards between 25 and 60 years old. Soils are different types of slate, limestone, gravels and sand which give Etim El Viatge a richness of aromas that clearly identifies it with D.O. Montsant.
Harvest of Grenache and Syrah is usually done between the first fortnight of September and the first of October. The Carignane is harvested until the end of October.
The varieties are fermented separately in stainless steel at controlled temperature, followed by maceration at 14°C and then the alcoholic fermentation at 22°C.
After the pressing, malolactic fermentation begins, which allows us to achieve a more stable color and great aromatic cleansing.
Aged 6 months in French oak (3rd year). Bottled after a gentle filtration.
Alcohol content: 14,5%
Food pairing
Etim el Viatge is a good wine for pairing with grilled meat and chicken dishes. Try it too with modern dishes and those with a touch of spicy.
A good introduction to D.O. Montsant wines.
Serve between 15° and 17°C as this will bring its special qualities to the fore.
