Winemaker’s Notes
The Malbec grapes are sourced from a Groenberg vineyard facing southwest and ripen early in the season. The Merlot grapes are grown on Doolhof from one of the first vineyards established on the farm.
All the grapes are hand harvested and undergo bunch sorting before being crushed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation between 24-27 degrees. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally after which the wines are aged in older French oak barrels for 12 months. Bottled May 2024. Drink now and up to 2028.
