blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
The 1975 Domaine de Chevalier continues to cruise along very nicely as it closes in on its fiftieth birthday, offering a complex and classic bouquet of dark berries, black cherries, cigar ash, dark soil tones, nutskin, black truffle and a topnote of tobacco leaf. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and shows lovely depth of fruit at the core, with good soil signature, still moderate tannins and lovely length and grip on the well-balanced and complex finish. Good juice and still with plenty of life in it.
