NZ Wine Rater (Steve Bennett MW, Lynette Hudson): 91/100. A youthful, primary, modern, varietal wine with aromas of blackberries, blueberries, cedar and a touch of meaty sulphide character which compliments fruit aromatics. It’s a lighter-bodied, fresh, tasty, very-well-made wine with lots of dark berry fruit flavours, notes of smoky bacon, and toasty vanilla with salivating chalky tannins.
Tasting Note
Aromas of dark cherry, berry fruits and smoked bacon. Flavours of red fruit compote and mocha. Juicy and fleshy in the mouth with soft tannins and persistent flavour.
