VINEYARD NOTES
The vineyards are located in the Tulum Valley, 45 km east of the city of San Juan at
an average altitude of 650 masl, and the trellis-trained vines are irrigated using
pressurised and controlled systems according to need. Soils are from alluvial origin
with sandy-loam to clay-loam characteristics.
The climate can be classified as semi-desert to desert with very high temperatures
during the day that are cooler at night during the ripening period. Grape health is
very good as the climate conditions of this very special terroir are not conducive to
the development of pest or disease problems. Average annual high solar exposure is
somewhat greater than 300 days, with very little rainfall (approximately 90 mm)
and very low relative humidity
