- PHILOSOPHY Elegance and purity: a long with Meur Sault and Chassagne-Montrachet, the small village of Puligny-Montrachet is the third element in the “Golden Triangle” of the illustrious Côte de Beaune appellations that produce white wines which are famous around the world . The main characteristics of Puligny are elegance, pureness, precision and assertiveness. They are considered to be the archetype for the world’s great Chardonnays
- TERROIR The grapes for our Puligny- Montrachet hail essentially from the “Corvée des Vignes” plot, located in the northern part of the appellation, close to Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes. The vines grow at the bottom of the slopes in alluvial and clayey soil that overlie hard l imestone subsoil composed of the prized local Chassagne stone
- VINIFICATION AND AGING After the grapes underwent gentle pressing and light settling, vinification was conducted entirely in barrels, with a proportion of 20% new oak. Malolactic fermentation takes place in spring. During the aging period, the wine was stirred regularly and vigorously to enrich its texture and lend subtle notes of brioche. Barrel aging lasted a total of 13 months.
- TASTING NOTES Gorgeous golden color. The first nose is very expressive and intense, with notes of bergamot and meringue, followed by a hint of brioche and slight mineral nuances of graphite. Beautiful, full, generous start to the palate, which boasts perfect balance between richness and freshness, sweetness and salinity. A long, velvety finish ends on a note of pleasant acidity. A grand, elegant, fresh wine that is complex and perfectly balanced.
