Viticcio’s beginnings are rooted in Chianti Classico. This is the winery’s most historic wine, the first Viticcio label. Brilliant red in color, the pleasant aromas of red fruit, plums, and violets stand out against a background of tobacco, graphite, damp underbrush, and toasty oak. We make it with a blend of Sangiovese grapes selected from all of our vineyards, rounded out with a small addition of Merlot.
