Tasting
Deep ruby color. Intense and complex aroma, with notes of red fruits, black fruits, shrubbery, and balsamic hints of cedar and resin. On the palate, it has good volume, lively tannins, balanced acidity, red fruits, and spices, with a very long and balanced finish.
Maturation
After the harvest, the wine remains in the Douro. It is transported to Vila Nova de Gaia the following spring, entering the usual aging process in oak casks. During this period, it is frequently racked, analyzed, and tried to monitor its evolution. The final blend is made after selecting wines that, due to their characteristics, reach the level of the Ferreira LBV style.
